Junior Morgan Pierce, a member of the CSB Cross Country team, is having a season to remember.

Pierce was named CSB Athlete of the Week for the second time of the season. At the Carleton Invite, Pierce ran against some of the fastest runners in the conference. Pierce was able to work her way to the top, finishing fifth in the 6K race. With a time of 22:51, this marks the sixth-best time in CSB history. For the second time this year, Pierce wrote her name into history as earlier in the season she scored the 12th best time in CSB 5K history.

The rest of the team finished seventh of 14 teams competing. The team has found themselves in the middle of the pack pretty consistently this season. As the second half comes into full swing, the team is looking to get the most out of their races.

There are only two races remaining until the MIAC Championships on Oct. 28. The team will also be headed to sunny-side California for a race at Pomoan-Pitzer college.

Next, the CSB Cross-Country team is racing Oct. 6 at the Bob Waxlax Invite, hosted by St. Cloud State.
