The search for the next SJU president continues

As the search continues for the next SJU president, the number of applicants has been reduced to a smaller group. This level of candidates was selected after reference checks were conducted. These applicants are now the semi-finalists and will continue on to the next stage of interviews.

In an email sent by Patti Epsky on behalf of the Office of the President (SJU), Chair of the Search Committee Kenneth Roering wrote in an update, “The semi-finalists have been invited to interview with the Search Committee at an off-site location in Minneapolis in the middle of February.”

During these off-site interviews, the applicants will be interviewed for about two hours each by the Search Committee.

After interviewing each candidate, the Search Committee will choose two to three applicants who will become the finalists.

These final candidates will be brought onto the SJU campus between the end of February and the beginning of March. During their on-campus visits, the finalists will be introduced to all the constituent groups on campus, allowing these students to meet the potential presidential candidate.

“We are organizing campus visits and will provide the Saint John’s community with a schedule for each of the finalists as soon as possible,” Roering wrote in the emailed update.

By bringing the finalists on-campus, the Search Committee continues its aspiration to include the St. John’s community in the presidential search process.

CSB/SJU will be informed about future developments in the search for the next SJU president.
